 Set up in 1962 on Nairobi's then Kings Street (now University way) by Mr. Ramniklal Panachand Shah, Kingsway Tyres Limited was set up as a small tyre retail outlet. After its inception, this tiny retail outfit grew from strength to strength, and today, it not only comprises of 15 branches countrywide, but also from it, has been borne what is today known as the Kingsway Group of Companies.
From the onset, three key principals have guided the company: Constant Dynamism, Continuous Momentum and Comprehensive Growth. These three factors have been the lifeline of the company.
'True to the words, Kingsway Tyres Limited has stood the test of time, evolving and changing with the market trends.
Today, Kingsway Tyres holds over 25% of the tyre market share in Kenya. We are one of the largest tyre distributors in East Africa with the largest network in the whole of East and Central Africa.
 In 47 years of business, perhaps the greatest achievement for Kingsway Tyres has been the conversion of its network branches from 'simple-retail-outlets' to 'state-of-art' fully computerized outfits better known as the 'Kingsway TyrExpert Centres'. These are professionally equipped modern outfits (read as 'workshops & service facilities') designed to provide not only tyres, but all related services, advise, accessories and catering virtually for any customer requirement all under one roof.
All the TyrExpert Centres are strategically located, covering all the main business towns (and their environs) in Kenya - i.e. 9 branches in Nairobi, 2 in Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru, Eldoret and Meru.
Kingsway TyrExpert Centres were the first Tyre Centres in East and Central Africa to be awarded the coveted Automobile Association of Kenya Approval. |
